After the 4 day African Festival I was pretty beat. Each day I basically baked overnight, sold the products at the festival, and then left the booth in very capable hands so that I could go to the kitchen and bake again. By day 4 I looked like this:

It was totally worth it though. I got to meet a lot of people and we got a lot of orders from people that sampled products at the festival. One woman sent me a picture she took of us at the booth along with a nice write-up.

The next weekend we pitched our tent at the Afro-Punk Music Festival.

The stage:

The booth:

It was fun selling desserts while listening to the great bands jamming out nearby. I basically stayed to the side and frosted cupcakes to order while Troy, Shawn, and Kamala took orders and helped the customers. We sold out of everything, even the bran muffins that I brought along as an experiment (would people buy bran muffins at a music festival, hmm I wonder?)

For more info on Afro-Punk check out their site.

A great couple of weeks overall- more people know we exist, so I've been baking more and that seems to make everyone happy.
